Week 24 Challenge: Paper

Week 24 Challenge: Paper

I thought paper would be such a fun challenge because it’s so accessible and easy to make things with! From origami to fake snow, book pages and more. It is diverse and creative, and we’re diving in!

Use paper of absolutely any kind to create. Make a statement about recycling, use it to decorate a set, or open a good book. Make it yours, and make it fun!

I’ll pull some of the art that I see this week to feature!
Use the hashtag #PromotingPassionChallenge so I can find you!

Here is some food for thought. Enjoy the challenge, and remember to push yourself creatively!

Shot with Jen Brook in a church in England.
I used a hole in a piece of paper to superimpose on this image so that it looked 3D.
I used hand-cut snowflakes and little tears of paper to make snow and a dress!
A simple piece of drawing paper inspired this image.
I had to watch about 13 videos on how to make this bird, but I finally did it!

  1. I will try, but have the feeling I won’t get this done. I have a photo I am editing now (it is a super long edit), I had another idea for a photo that has to be done quick before the owner burns the pile of trees, and I have started a none art side project that is swallowing a LOT of time.
But I will see if a simple idea comes to mind, I hate not being able to do these challenges.

  2. Your site started out as an assignment for my digital imaging course at Lamar University.
My professor is Prince V. Thomas, himself an amazing photographer and artist. We had to research artists from a list our prof gave us for class.
I chose you for the second week – I love your work. I can relate to your images and find them mesmerizing.
Thank you for being an artist and sharing your work with others.
